A GREAT LOSS
I lost you, I lost you,
mother I lost you.
You were cause to bring me
in this world
you brought me up
with labour and toil.
I could not forget your break fasts
which were prepared for me
while going to school, college and office.
you prepared best cousine.
you designed and stitched my dresses.
knitted sweaters for me.
you always kept in mind my favourite thing,
liking and disliking.
you always cared me and worried about me.
your kids were your world.
you enjoyed when your kids enjoyed
In your presence our home was sweet home.
But you hardly shown your troubles, diseases
you kept all your problems, worries in your heart
your heart could not bore this load and failed.
you could not see tears in my eyes
and now my eyes are full of tears
but none to wipe out.
you left us alone.
Mom please come back.
I can't live with out you.

It is a feeling of a girl, who grew up under the shade of her mother, on her death.
Mother's departure to the Herafter is an irreparable loss for those left behind; a reality everyone goes through.
ReplyDeleteHowever, "razai-Allaahi is razai-Allaahi."
In fact, we are all programmed through our genes to leave our children sooner or later too.
Everything stays behind and good deeds are "Real MEANS" for us to be candidates for comfortable placement after demise. No gain without pain meaning we are supposed to work hard to gain in life after death.
Despite the bitter truth, I love and pray for my mom to live forever - because that's human nature.
*****RAISA SARVAT, your poem is very touchy and is bound to fill readers' eye with frozen or flowing tears.
May Allah bless all of us with true path and thoughts (aameen)!
